How to order several units or models
To order more than one Loog (same or different models) just add the extra $ amount to your pledge. For example:
1) To order two Loog Mini Electric guitars: pledge $99 x 2 = $198. (For international backers: no need to double the shipping cost.)
2) To order one Loog Mini Electric plus one Loog Pro Electric: choose the “Loog Pro Electric” reward and pledge $149 +$99 = $248. (For international backers: no need to double the shipping cost.)
Once the campaign is over, we will send you a link to our page on backerkit.com, where you’ll see the total amount that you pledged, and you’ll be able to choose models, pick colors, and even add accessories at discounted prices.

Can I play ANY song on a 3-string guitar?
Yes. In fact, a regular chord in a standard 6-string guitar is usually comprised of no more than 3 notes. Loog Guitars allow you to play real chords and any song. It will not sound as full as if it were played with a high-end, concert guitar, but because of that same reason it provides a more approachable experience; more suitable for kids and beginners.

How do you tune a 3-string Loog Guitar?
Quick answer: GBE, from low to high. Loog Guitars use the same first three strings -and tuning- of a six-string guitar. This is why everything you learn on a Loog can later be applied on a standard guitar. Now, Loog Guitars are all about exploration, so you can also use other string configurations and tuning if you want to: Open A, Open G… whatever works for you.

Do you offer a left-handed Loog?
If the campaign surpasses $1 million in pledges (hey, one can dream), we will finally make left-handed versions of these models. If not, we’ll go with our usual recommendation for lefties: simply flip the order of the strings, just like Hendrix did. Worked great for him and works quite well for me too!

What is the minimum age recommendation for Loog Guitars?
We recommend the Loog Mini for children 3 and up, the Loog Pro for kids 8 and up, and the Loog Pro VI for 12 YOs and up. Needless to say, everyone is different and this is just a suggested guide. If your kid is 7 and you want to go with the Pro model, that’s totally fine.

Are the 3-string models only for kids?
Absolutely not. We designed them for kids, but even the Loog Mini is certainly suitable for just anybody who likes to play guitar (i.e: that footage of Ronnie Wood playing a Loog; that’s a Loog Mini).

If I learn to play a Loog Guitar, can I then use those learnings to play a regular 6-string guitar?
Yes, playing a Loog is not entirely different from playing a traditional guitar, it is just simpler. Since we use the same first three strings -and tuning- of a six-string guitar, everything you learn on a Loog can later be applied on a standard guitar. The transition is natural and seamless. Likewise, you can buy books or go online to find the chords to your favorite songs, and use those same chord-tabs meant for six-string guitars to play on your Loog. You just need to pay attention to the finger-placement on the first three strings and simply ignore the other ones!

Are electric guitars actually suitable for beginners? Shouldn't they start with an acoustic guitar?
Not really. In fact, some argue that it’s easier to start with an electric guitar, because the strings are closer to the fretboard and that makes them more comfortable to play. We suggest going with whatever model you like best.

Can I still plug these built-in amp guitars to an external amplifier?
Oh yes. These guitars have a standard jack and you can plug them to any amp and they’ll behave just like any electric guitar (and the built-in amp will be bypassed).

Current Estimated Shipping Date: June 2020
We are monitoring the Coronavirus situation and trying to asses the impact it will have on production and delivery. The bad: we won't be able to make it to the original April 2020 date. The good: the factories have already resumed production -although at reduced capacity- so at least things are finally moving forward.
Last Updated At: 03/09/20What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
